Canadas Talent is a platform run by young entrepreneurs to keep you informed on the great musicians, actors, writers and other artists from our country.

We provide you with the latest news and reviews on Canadian entertainment through our website and social media pages. Covering events and festivals featuring Canadian talent, our interviews give fans the opportunity to ask their favourite Canadian stars questions based on their interests.

Canadas Talent is also building a database of Canadian artist biographies as a way for people to learn more about the artists of our nation. Related activities will also be incorporated in this exciting project.

With the goal of presenting high-quality content from a youth’s perspective, Canadas Talent offers young people the opportunity to gain firsthand real-life experience working in the fields of journalism and communications.

A Brief History

After spending several years of her childhood living and traveling abroad, Canadian teen Beatrice Hanley was aware of the positive impression Canada has around the globe. An avid music lover and fan of the arts, she envisioned an interactive multichannel platform devoted to feature Canadian artists. While other sites and projects were on the market, none of them seemed to focus on solely Canadian performers and artistic professionals making great contributions to the Canadian arts and entertainment industry.  Homing in on her passion for journalism, video making and Canadian music, Hanley thought, “Why not start my own?” She noticed that people often don’t realize that many of the talented people we hear on the radio or see on TV are actually Canadian. When she told her friend, fellow music fan and Canadian band enthusiast, Julia St-Jean, about this idea, she jumped right on board without hesitation.

Today, Canadas Talent is the first media and promotion project of its kind that has been developed by such a young entrepreneur and run by a team of teens and young adults who share her passion, drive and vision.

The first part of this ambitious and exciting project was launched in 2010 with a blog and YouTube channel featuring exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes videos. Canadastalent.com marks the end of the first stage and the beginning of other activities and ways to further promote Canadian artists at home and abroad.
