During the weekend of October 22-24 2010, Canadas Talent headed out to Toronto for the CHFA trade fair, an interview with former Much Music VJ, Tim Deegan, and a tour around the biggest city in Canada!

Day 1 was our tour around the city. We started with Queen St., where we made a visit to the Much Music studio, as well as the home of several other broadcasting buildings such as CTV and CP24, and we got to see what Much Music looks like in real life and the progress on the (currently being remodelled) studio.

Next, we drove around a bit and went past Massey Hall – the concert hall that we were at when Marianas Trench played their show last March.

Finally for that day, we decided to have some shopping time and headed to the Eaton’s Centre. Surprisingly for us, we found a few interesting people. Dave, the lead singer of Delhi, happened to be in the H&M there, and we just had to say hi!

Check out the band here: http://www.myspace.com/wearedelhi and here: http://www.youtube.com/user/DelhiBand and get a free download of their song “Night Song”

We even found Marianas Trench at Garage

Day 2 was the beginning of our visit to CHFA and our interview with Tim Deegan. We browsed through some stands and learned about different kinds of organic/natural products that we found would be interesting to teens.

Tasting some food at the trade fair.

Later in the day, we met up with Tim Deegan, to talk about his time at Much Music and his plans for the future. We even got him to visit some of those stands we found!

Here is our interview with Tim Deegan, including some fun footage at the trade fair!

On Day 3, we finished our time at CHFA and visited any stands we missed the day before.

Here’s a video including some footage of the trip:
