Courage My Love started in 2008, with sisters Mercedes and Phoenix , who wrote songs together and played small local shows in their hometown. In September 2009, bassist David joined, having met the twins through a mutual friend.

Courage My Love has only released 1 EP to date, For Now , on October 31st, 2011 (also Mercedes and Phoenix’s birthday). They released For Now through their own independent label, Homeskool Prom Records after signing a world-wide distribution deal with Warner Music.

Courage My Love released their first music video on January 4th, 2011, for their song Bridges, using only a high school football field as their location. They released 2 more videos since then, for Barricade (October 2011) and Anchors Make Good Shoes (If You Have Issues) (March 2012).
The band has also played at numerous music festivals, including the Vans Warped Tour and Canadian Music Week, and has been featured on Much Music‘s show New Music Live.

“These three musicians aren’t looking for a rapid rise to stardom and an early payoff. They are not looking for instant fame or success through playing the game, cashing in on their good looks, or being molded into a flavour of the month by a cadre of well-intentioned star makers. Fame and success, when they come, will be because of hard work, constant playing and rehearsing, and writing songs that have substance and value.” – http://www.ilovecouragemylove.com/
