-The band name came from a scenario where two hobos were fighting over a cat named Ithaca.

-FFI was featured on 604 Records Christmas album, The Second Noel, with their single Partying With Santa. Partying With Santa debuted at number 19 on the iTunes holiday chart.

Fighting For Ithaca is a pop/rock band from Vancouver, BC. FFI is made up of Curtis Steeksma (lead vocals), Jon Steeksma (guitar), Tommy Phoenix (bass), Patty (guitar) and Phil Maloney (drums). In 2010, FFI released their EP, Thanks for Waiting. Through social media and being in constant contact with their fans, FFI have developed a passionate fan base also known as “Ithacans”. After much support from their fans, Fighting For Ithaca announced in 2011 that they had been signed by 604 Records. In winter 2011 They were featured on 604 Records’ Christmas album, The Second Noel, with their single Partying With Santa. Partying With Santa debuted at number 19 on the iTunes holiday chart and was also played on radio stations throughout the country during the holiday season. The band has recorded their new album which is set to be released in 2012!
