LIGHTS Poxleitner is an electro-pop singer born in Timmins, Ontario and currently living in Toronto. Her self-titled EP came out on September 2008 and her debut album, The Listening, hit the stores on September 2009. She later released an acoustic EP in 2010 and her latest album titled Siberia was released on October 2011. She signed with Underground Operations in Canada and Doghouse, Sire and Universal in the United-States. She was one of the few women on the Vans Warped Tour 2009.

LIGHTS began her career by writing songs for a bunch of bands and TV shows before she released Lights. Her first EP earned her the Best New Artist Juno award in 2009. Influenced by progressive rock and new wave artists such as Depeche Mode, U2 and The Cure gave a little bit of an edge to her electropop sound and heartfelt lyrics. For Siberia, she found herself attracted to dubstep and wanted a sound a little bit rawer than anything she had done before. To this date, LIGHTS has collaborated with a lot of artists, including Ten Second Epic, Owl City, Bring Me The Horizon, Shad and Holly F***.  On a more personal note, she is known to be a Tim Horton’s fan and a proud Canadian. She also is an absolute fan of gaming, especially World of Warcraft. Her song Lions was actually inspired by this video game.
