This week we got a chance to ask Nancy Diaz a few questions about her music, her life, and her goals! She has recently released a music video for her single “Summer Addiction”, which you can watch here: 


Born in Toronto to parents of Chilean and Spanish descent, Nancy soaked up music from both cultures as a child. Her parents instilled the benefits of hard work into her at an early age, teaching her that anything is possible with hard work, dedication and a dream. Nancy’s dream was to perform her songs on stage in front of an audience and she never lost sight of that. Her determination began to pay off as she transformed her infectious smile into a modeling career, while pursuing her ultimate dream of being a singer. Nancy has worked with several producers and musicians over the years, perfecting the craft that has led to the recent signing of her management deal with TMD Entertainment Management.


Q: You recently released your debut single “Summer Addiction”, what are some of YOUR summer addictions this year?
A: Summer parties with friends, sun, beach, patio, cottage
Q: Your path in the music industry began with a modeling career, when did you decide that singing was what you wanted to do as a profession?
A: I enjoyed modeling in my early teens, but I always felt very passionate about music.  I decided to seriously venture into the music industry at age 18 and began to work losely with different producers.

Q: Your parents are Spanish and Chilean, how have those cultures influenced your music?
A: Yes, both cultures have allowed me to embrace different sounds of music through thier own traditional instruments. Creating geners like flamenco, tango, cumbia, merengue, and salsa.

Q: If you could collaborate with any artist for a future project, who would it be and why?

A: Selena was my first idol, I enjoyed her music and charisma on stage. Later, Jennifer Lopez as she became Latin’s most multi talented female artist.

Q: What would you say is your biggest dream/goal you hope to achieve as an artist?

A: Becoming an international artist sharing my music (Latin/English) around the world.

Q: Describe yourself in 5 words

A: -Strong

Q: We hear you love animals and would like to work with organizations such as the Humane Society. Why is this cause important to you and what do you aim to do to help?

A: I have worked closely with the Toronto Humane Society as a volunteer. Ultimately, I care about helping and protecting helpless animals.

Q: If you were stranded on a desert island, what 3 items would you HAVE to bring?

A: -coke
-pen and pad to write music

Q: What can we expect from you in the future?

A: Latin EP coming out soon.

Q: Do you have a message to share with your fans?

A: Always belive in your dreams and never give up. Failure is not an option.
